Spinning Dizzy

So now, that school is out, I have a few too many goals for the summer. One is to knit like the wind. I currently have 3 large projects on the needles that have been hanging out for a while, and I'd like to finish two of them. Another one is to re-watch the first 4 seasons of Lost. Yes, I'm obsessed. If you read in the next coming months I have a feeling you will see just what I mean.

Third, I'd like to extend my sock yarn obsession by learning to spin it myself.

So, meet Liesl.

She is beautiful, despite her Napoleon complex. She is a Kromski Mazurka, gifted to me by a friend of mine. Its not bad for a first wheel. We are still getting to know each other. The lovely thing about this wheel is its adaptability to switch between double drive and scotch tension. I know those things don't mean anything to muggles. They don't really mean that much to me either. We've been struggling over who is the boss in this relationship. I need to just let her win. She also may get a makeover this summer, I keep wishing she were shiner… and red.
